Desert Fig (Ficus brandegeei) + Microcement Bowl

Ficus brandegeei + Microcement Bowl

A young, developing Ficus brandegeei (Desert Fig), already showing off the swollen, exposed root base and caudex-like trunk that makes this species such a striking bonsai subject as it matures. A slender stem with a handful of glossy leaves reaches upward from the rocky base, set in a minimal microcement bowl that keeps all the attention on the plant's sculptural roots.
